Our Vision For The Future

is to help you develop to be the best lawyer that you can be

We are incredibly proud of the team at Impumelelo Legal Training and of how much effort, time and yes, lots and lots of rehearsing, they have put in.

All in an effort to help their fellow young lawyers.

It is quite humbling to work with this exceptional group of people.

Our Presenters

Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.

Our View

We strive for better equipped lawyers in S.A.

With one exception all of the presenters here at Impumelelo Legal Training are in legal practice.

We give our time and energy to prepare the tutorials outside of our day jobs.

We are volunteers and do not get paid for designing, presenting and making the tutorials.

In fact, it actually costs us money - we have to pay venue hire fees and filming and editing charges.

Which we do, out of our own pockets.

Why do we do it?

Because we believe that if our young lawyers are given the tools with which to do the job, they will do the job well.

Which means that South Africa's legal profession will be better off.

Think about what a critical role the law and the legal profession plays in South African daily life. Hardly a day goes by without there being a high profiled court case in the news.

Which means that if our young lawyers are better equipped, the legal profession will be better equipped. And, as a result,

South Africa as a whole will be better off.

Why we want to help our young lawyers

There has always been a big gap between law school and the actual legal profession.

In recent times that gap has gotten ridiculously wide.

A lot of entrants into the legal profession find it bewildering and scary, with little guidance on how they should conduct themselves or cope in their new environment.

We know that we can help to fill that gap.

We cannot fill it completely.

But we give young lawyers the essential skill, tools and guidance so that they can fill that gap by themselves.

Doing something constructive to address a problem or to make the world, or even our country, a better place is much, much harder than to just moan, criticize or complain. It takes conviction, perseverance and the will to keep going when things do not work out as you had hoped.
